Review Our Testimonials About Mount Snow Valley Ski Lodge Village

Blue House and Schneblick

We have rented with Jack for 2 yrs in a row and love staying in his homes. We have a large group and the houses are great in accommodating all of us. The indoor pools are well maintained. The house is clean. It's like staying in a private Inn. Can't wait for next year.

Wonderful Houses

We have been rented several of those houses across the past few years (East House, West House, Brown House) and they are all perfect for hosting a large group. We always feel homey and have a lot of fun with all their great amenities (like swimming pool, pool table, etc.). It is also very comfortable to be able to have a bathroom in most of the bedrooms. Definitely recommended for a large group!

Brown House

Our family rented the brown house for Christmas-such an amazing time. The house had everything we needed and was very close to Mt Snow. Indoor pool was a big hit with the kids! Thanks Jack!

Brown House for New Years Eve

The Brown House was perfect for our large group for a New Years Ski getaway. The house is about 5 minutes from Mount Snow and close to many other great restaurants, bars, and rental shops for ski gear. Our group size was 21 which was at capacity for the sleeping arrangements yet the house is so large we all were extremely comfortable and had plenty of room. All bedrooms also have their own private full bathrooms which made showering extremely easy. There are tons of activities within the house to keep you occupied on down days or during the evening which kept everyone entertained. The kitchen is fully stocked with any materials you made need to prepare meals and eat them. The pool room is great and we also got great use of the sauna to help sweat it out after a few nights of heavy drinking. Jack is also extremely accommodating to work with and made the entire process a breeze. Everything about our stay was fantastic and we would definitely return. Thanks Jack.

Great House Great Location

The house has an interesting layout and was great for our group of 15 with kids and dogs. The kids loved the hot tub and the adults got great use out of the sauna. We had a great time. Location to Mount Snow could not be better - so close and convenient! Jack was very attentive, we appreciated the thorough walk through upon our arrival and his communication throughout our stay.

Blue house was great for a family reunion.

We were upgraded last minute from the Brown House to the Blue House. We were skeptical at first, but we really enjoyed the house. The house is very large and clean - not really modern - more like a hunting lodge. It is split into two wings, so we had adults on one half and kids on the other. We had 20 people stay and had plenty of room for everyone to sleep! There were lots of living areas for people to relax and hang out. We had plenty to do - played pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, swam, relaxed in hot tub and sauna. In addition, Jack helped us get a great deal on ski tickets at Mount Snow which was only 5 minutes from the house.

The maintenance man came every day to keep the coal stove burning. It was a little strange, but he was polite and not intrusive in any way.

Perfect spot for large groups!

Our large group stayed at the Brown house over Labor Day weekend and had a blast!!! We have been going on a Labor Day trip for the past five years and this has been our favorite house. Each room has their own bathroom and there is so much stuff to do, you don’t even have to leave the house. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, shuffle board, ping pong, fire pit, the list goes on and on.

The house is a bit on the rustic side with lots of wooden built ins. It has a very homey feel. Each room has plenty of storage space for luggage.

Lastly, Jack, the owner is a bit on the old fashion side. He gives you a personal tour and shows you how everything works. I book a lot of homeaways and he’s the first owner I’ve met! It was nice to put a face to a voice!

If you’re looking for a home for a large group book this house or any of Jacks properties!!!

Great Time in Dover

The property was fantastic! We we’re upgraded from the Brown house to the Blue house and had a great time enjoying all of the amenities! We were there for a college reunion, and we Had a great time playing paintball at Adams Farm nearby, cooking in the kitchen and industrial sized grill and swimming in the pool. Jack Ridgway was a great host and we’re definitely going to come back when we have another reunion.

Brown House – Excellent House

The house was great and more than we could ask for. The pool was clean, the kitchen had everything you could need and there was plenty of room for everyone. The owner Jack was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. The location of the house was also very convenient. The last chair is within eyesight of the house and is a pretty good spot for food and drinks. Overall it was a great experience everyone was happy.

The house was perfect for the 11 people that stayed with plenty of space for everyone.

Jack and his colleagues were very attentive and responsive to any questions or needs we had. We had a great time at the house and were close to everything we needed! I would definitely recommend this house for anyone with a large group.

Weather didn’t cooperate, but we still had a good time

The house is very well suited for a large group that likes playing games when they aren't skiing. Very close to the mountain, although the conditions were miserable for our trip we still had a great time playing pool, ping pong, and cooking meals on the giant stove and griddle that are at the house. The downstairs meanwhile is very well suited for bringing a couple video games and hooking it up to the tv. The hot tub was old, but clean and well maintained. The sauna although it took awhile to warm up was delightful as well. Overall a very positive experience. Jack is a super nice guy who only wants you to have a good time.

Perfect for large parties

Happy with the stay!

The house was large enough to accommodate our large party and there are plenty of things to do in the house (like board games, ping pong, and billiard), and as well as outside the house. It's located minutes away from Mt. Snow and the owner provides discounted tickets! Some of us skied at Stratton, which is also not far, a half-hour drive. The owner, Jack, is very responsive and nice. He comes by to make sure we settled down well and showed us the "hidden pool" in the basement (this is not something yon can see everywhere - really cool!!!)

Great Christmas Stay

Perfect house for large groups. Plenty of activities in the house. Sauna, pool area - center of the party. Jack is a great host. Very attentive and caring. And he has great prices for lift tickets!

Jack is a wonderful host!

We rented out the whole property for a weekend of hiking - Jack was so accommodating every step of the way. He helped us organise a route before we arrived and then was there to welcome us all, including walking us to the beginning of the hike!

We were a large group (20) and new to New England so we really appreciated Jack's help, we couldn't have done it without him! The hiking views were gorgeous and we would definitely return.

Great family vacation!

We had an awesome stay at this very family friendly house in Mt. Snow. We were throwing a "surprise party" for my Dad's 70th birthday and the owner Jack was more than helpful to make sure my Dad was shocked. The house is very unique and you can see it has been built with love by the owner over many years. The best way I can describe staying here is as "going to camp"... there are a ton of bedrooms with small bathrooms and we opted for the cheaper option to "bring our own linens". The layout is very unique and hard to describe - most of the bedrooms are on the lower level which also has the pool. There is one on the "main level" aka middle floor that is near a pool table and living area so exposed to the most noise. The two quietest bedrooms are on the top floor aka attic and they each are good sized with bathrooms. All the beds and furnishings in this house are old. It is what it is... we had kids and dogs and this house met our needs just fine. The kitchen is huge and we LOVED the giant dinging table that allowed the entire family to enjoy meals together and play board games. There is a bar in the main floor living area that was a fun lounge spot for "the men" and in the lower level entry way there is ping pong tables that we played with a bunch. The "gym" is freezing in the winter and the equipment is VERY old so don't count on a great workout there - save your energy for the slopes which as SO close by - just a 5 min drive door to door. The sauna was a huge hit - you must keep the fire burning yourself (thanks to my husband for keeping that going). One other thing to know before you go - the house is heated with coal stoves that require attention and effort. Its old school heating but it works! The "hot tub" is made for two people and you have to "turn the dial" on the timer repeatedly to get it to warm up (took a full day of going down to the hot tub and cranking it up every hour to get it warm enough to use) If you are looking for a big family weekend - or a crash pad for a big group of skiers - this house is great. I think it was a little pricey for what its worth - but we paid it and didn't feel ripped off. One thing to mention (and be thankful for)... a huge snow storm came while we were there (super bowl weekend) and we got "stuck" and the owner was very gracious and gave us a very fair rate to stay an additional night. Thanks Jack!

Just what we needed for a working retreat

The property is an expansive combination of sleeping quarters (nicely removed from living areas), kitchen and connected dinning and living spaces, and relaxation and game rooms. All 18 of us were very comfortable and warm at all times with the help of a large and very efficient stove that was taken care of daily by Jack - the property manager. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dinning.

Even though the place could use some updating, it didn't bother us or prevent us from enjoying out stay. We will likely use it again next year!

Thanks Jack!

Wonderful space and activities for a large group!

We loved the number of bedrooms and private bathrooms, the variety of places to play and be entertained, the responsiveness of the owner to answer questions or fix things. The renovations will make this facility a great place to stay.

We stayed at the Blue House rather than the brown and had a great time.

The home has charm and warmth but accommodated a very large party with kids and adults. Never on top of one another. Lots of space for all the equipment that goes with skiing . The kitchen was great and we grilled and cooked every day and Night. There are 2 large dining areas so we all could sit down or mill around eating at the counter space in the kitchen. The living areas are large and comfortable. Kids and adults had a ball playing pool and pingpong. There are a variety of board games too! The pool is maintained very well. Much bigger than I thought. I'm not a fan of hot tubs but I did use this one and very well maintained and big too! The golf driving range was a great place for the kids to blow off steam. All the rooms had fresh linen and towels for a very reasonable fee. Each has own private bath. The most reassuring thing about the house was a new sprinkler system and fire safety system. The Ridgways are so nice and easy to work with. He hand delivered discounted lift tix and had and wealth of information about the area. SUPER close to the mountain. Going Back!! Oh, and we got a lot of snow while we were there and the driveway was plowed frequently and was big enough for all our cars.
